Unlike many TV shows that were usually taken just for entertainment, a few – Periodically came up with Excellent content that transforms the life, Gives the passion and stirs our search of Knowledge.

From the beginning of this century, the science   – especially the space science, became a favourite topic for Content creators because of the steadily increasing interest and curiosity among people to know the reality.

A lot of Excellent Documentaries have been produced in recent years. I give you here, the extraordinary list of space Series and Documentaries that not only entertain you and educate you but also transforms you into a different person and make you develop a strong interest in space.

1. Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey (2014):

Cosmos: A Spacetime Odyssey is a 2014 American Space science documentary television series. This TV Series on Space Tops our List with 400 Million viewers in total across 60 countries.

The show is a follow-up to the 1980 television series The Cosmos: A Personal Voyage, which was presented by Carl Sagan on the Public Broadcasting Service and is considered a milestone for scientific documentaries.

The visitor’s count for this series is totally unexpected and this response rate clearly shows the shift of people interest in space exploration.

This series was developed to bring back the foundation of science to network television at the height of other science-based television series and films.

The show is presented by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, who, as a young high school student, was inspired by Sagan.

It Consists of 13 Amazing Episodes (Running Time 40- 45 minutes).  If you are Interested in Space and Learning Science,  I strongly recommend you to watch this entire Season and This series was exceptionally good in Explaining the complicated cosmos to the General Audience. If you have enough time and curiosity to know more, this would be my first recommendation for you all to watch.

2. Journey to the Edge of the Universe by National Geography (2008):

Journey to the Edge of the Universe is a documentary film broadcast on National Geographic and the Discovery Channel. It documents a space journey from Earth to the edge of the universe itself. The US edition was narrated by Alec Baldwin and the UK edition by Sean Pertwee.

With This Space Documentary, one can visualise the things happens from each and every planet to the stars. They will start it from the earth and the journey will continue throughout the entire known universe.

The documentary runs 91 minutes and was broadcast on December 7, 2008.

3. Through the Wormhole by Morgan Freeman (2010):

Through the Wormhole is an American science documentary television series narrated and hosted by American actor Morgan Freeman. It began airing on Science in the United States on June 9, 2010.

Through the Wormhole will explore the deepest mysteries of existence – the questions that have puzzled mankind for eternity. What are we made of? What was there before the beginning? Are we really alone? Is there a creator? These questions have been pondered by the most exquisite minds of the human race.

Now, science has evolved to the point where hard facts and evidence may be able to provide us with answers instead of philosophical theories. Through the Wormhole will bring together the brightest minds and best ideas from the very edges of science – Astrophysics, Astrology, Quantum Mechanics, String Theory, and more – to reveal the extraordinary truth of our Universe.

4. Quantum Theory – Documentary(2016) :

This documentary is one of the best documentaries that explain the Complex quantum theory in a very simple way.

Even if you are new to physics or you are a medium lever learner, this documentary will never fail to surprise you and you have a lot of things to learn from this.

This Gives Details about the nature of light – the duality of light as it behaves either a particle or a wave. Very Sincere Efforts had been taken in explaining the quantum spin and Entanglement – One of the most bizarre theories involved in quantum mechanics.

This Documentary Runs Less than an hour and supplies very good knowledge on Quantum Physics.

5. Everything and Nothing:

Two-part documentary which deals with two of the deepest questions there are – what is everything, and what is nothing?

This is one of the best documentaries that I have Ever watched in my Life.

In two epic, surreal and mind-expanding films, Professor Jim Al-Khalili searches for an answer to these questions as he explores the true size and shape of the universe and delves into the amazing science behind apparent nothingness.

The first part, Everything, sees Professor Al-Khalili set out to discover what the universe might actually look like. The journey takes him from the distant past to the boundaries of the known universe.

Along the way he charts the remarkable stories of the men and women who discovered the truth about the cosmos and investigates how our understanding of space has been shaped by both mathematics and astronomy.

6. Stephen Hawking’s Universe (1997):

Stephen Hawking’s Universe is an astronomical documentary from 1997 made for the Public Broadcasting Service featuring the theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking. The six-episode series discusses the history of astronomy as well as black holes and dark matter.

It is pretty basic and conceptual but it was a good introduction to the wonders of physics.I suggest it for all newbie and physics enthusiasts to watch the below list of all the six episodes.

7. Mathematics Explains the Universe (2016) :

Not so popular Documentary on Youtube, yet one of the must watch the video on our list. This Video is best in explaining the magic of mathematics.

This Documentary shows us how beautiful mathematics really is and how math is underlying reality of everything.

How every single thing happening in the world right from history to botany is influenced by mathematics. This video will shock you with the example shown in like: Sunflower resembles milky way galaxy and the Fibonacci connect, Mountains and random drop of object following Pi probability and much more.

I loved watching this video and I Strongly suggest this to you 🙂 It’s Truly Amazing.

8. The Universe in a Nutshell: The Physics of Everything by Michio Kaku 

This is one of the best Michio Kaku Presentation one could ever see.

Only 42 minutes long, it is pretty concise given that it covers the gist of the importance and history of physics, as well as that of the universe as a whole and our understanding of it.

He Explains How he as a child inspired by Albert Einstein and the Extraordinary power of physics that solves every complex problem in the universe with a half line Equation. Kaku also presents a succinct history of physics and makes a compelling case for why physics is the key to pretty much everything.

Synopsis: What if we could find one single equation that explains every force in the universe?
